Verdict. Gran Turismo 7 is a sensational game. It sprinkles plenty of nostalgia across a racing formula that has been refined over the course of 25 years. It's accessible while remaining hard to master, and should convert a lot of casual racers into true petrolheads. It's not perfect though. This might sound a bit weird but I'm entirely serious. A huge part of the Gran Turismo career experience is starting with an awful beater of a car from the used car dealership and slowly tune and upgrade it to many victories and a second. It's very much what makes the career mode so captivating and immerses you further into the experience. I've got over 200 hours in the game and haven't played a single online race (though I do enjoy the sport mode time trials). I definitely have complaints, but even in spite of those, it has been absolutely worth every penny of the $70 I spent on it. It's a game I keep coming back to as well which has given it a lot of longevity. I was looking at the versions of GT7 and I noticed they now list just "Gran Turismo 7" in addition to the Launch and Anniversary editions. Is this standard edition different than the Launch edition? All the searches I do compare the Launch edition to the Anniversary Edition. Related note: is the Anniversary Edition worth it? I am on the fence. The Gran Turismo movie depicts the true story of gamer turned racing driver Jann Mardenborough. So is it worth the hype? The Gran Turismo movie is directed by Neill Blomkamp of District 9 fame, and it stars David Harbour (Stranger Things, Black Widow) and Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean).
GT7 is definitely one of the better simcades. But 5k is a little too much for games imo. I mean you can still go for it if your budget allows, or you could wait a few months for a sale. Since its a simcade you don't need a steering wheel at all to play well in GT7. You can be just as good with a controller.
The new Gran Turismo movie out August 9th So, is Gran Turismo worth watching? It was always going to be worth a look for gamers and car fans, and in that sense it actually delivers. It has allI didn’t buy it, and as the release date neared, I wondered what to do. I wanted it to be an occasion. Something a bit special. I truly fell in love with the series when Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec
After a few updates, events were added that overall had a better payout of credits/time, and lessened the grind. However, the grind still exists, and is generally relegated to these 3-4 events. Other events and custom races still pay very poorly for the time you invest. Recently, the addition of car sales has helped decrease the grind. "Gran Turismo" packs eight hours' worth of drama into a bit more than two hours. There's probably no way to make all that plot seem elegant, but what "Gran Turismo" lacks in elegance or
