I disagree. I have both the EF 24-105 f4 and RF 24-240 that I use on an R6. I got the 24-240 as a hiking lens as I didn't want to always have to walk with a heavy bag and carry 2-3 lenses with me. Whilst I agree it is a very decent lens for the price the image quality is not at all comparable to the EF24-105 f4
The RRP of the lens however: The Canon RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM is officially priced at £459.99 / €549.99 / $399.99 in the UK, Europe and the USA respectively. Click to expand Turns out I was right, they had a sale and gave the lens away for free with the RP
The RF 24-105 is a USM type lens. There are two different RF 24-105 lenses. I think you are talking about the RF 24-105 F4L IS, which is USM. The OP was asking about the RF 24-105 F4-7.1 IS STM. Maybe some other posters were also confused, and were talking about the L version, instead of the STM version? It also supports the faster ES frame rates. .
